Day 11 Early Bird

This bird is so early, she’s already decorated her eggs for Easter!  She’s way ahead of the game.  For once I am too.  I’m posting Saturdays’ Day 11 painting a couple of hours early so I can sleep in tomorrow.  I am having fun trying to paint a variety of things for this 30 day painting challenge.    It’s also  fun to see what all my artist  friends (almost 400 of them) are coming up with each day as well.  Leslie’s is the first blog I check every morning.  Can’t wait to see what pops up tomorrow.

Day 6 Have Bird Will Travel

I guess I have winter on my mind.  Hope these guys are warm enough.  Hope you are too on this cold, cold day.

Thanks to fellow artist  Judy Baker   for giving me the idea to use an unconventional color for the background (‘course, blue dogs aren’t that common either!)

Hope you are inside by a fire like I am!Image

Dreaming of Summer Days

My husband was up at 5:30 this morning working the snowblower on our 90 foot driveway.  He’s a real trooper.  Yes, the snow is back and will be here for the next few months.  But today I’m dreaming of Summer.  This little painting reminds me that the seasons change and nothing is forever.  Might as well enjoy each day.
