I wish I was more original. I saw a drawing similar to this on Pinterest with a cat sitting in the chair. I decided it should be a bunny holding a flower in my painting. Is that cheating?

Happy Valentine’s Day!
I love anything with hearts so I’ve painted a few. You are probably aware that Valentine’s Day is coming up fast. If you are looking for a unique gift, have you considered a little piece of original art? These (and more) are all available right now in my Etsy shop. But don’t wait too long as these are one of a kind pieces. Any of these would surely say ” I Love You” in just the right way.
I really struggled with today’s painting. I drew it a few days ago and was quite pleased with it BEFORE I added the color. It didn’t like what I had done, so I painted over it (which isn’t very successful with watercolor). Then I REALLY didn’t like it. So I washed all the color off–well most of it. That is the advantage with aqua board over paper. I scrubbed off the paint in the kitchen sink. Most of it came off. Then I tried painting it again. Still not happy with the color, but that’s it. I’m done! That’s what happens with this daily challenge. You paint and move on!
We are getting up to a balmy 39 degrees (F) today. Yay! Some snow will melt and maybe I can go for a walk. Hope you have a warmer day too.
Hearts and flowers. What more could a Valentine want? I’m afraid I might be experiencing a little after Christmas let down. It’s always much more fun to decorate for Christmas than to un-decorate. I spent the good part of yesterday cleaning and boxing up things, and I’m still not done. I’m anxious for another holiday, so Valentine hearts are a welcome sight!
