A Sunflower, and Crow and a Pumpkin

Day 24.  Can’t believe this challenge is almost over.  The big question is:  Will I keep on painting?   I thought I would move on from the Fall theme, but I must admit I am a sucker for anything Fall-ish.  This little painting is of some table decor I bought last year.   They are so cute I couldn’t resist painting them.  They stand about 6 inches tall and live on my piano at the moment.    When I got out my Fall decorations box a few days ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find them.  It’s often like that.  I buy something, but after putting it away for a year, I forget all about it.  So it was fun to experience the “new” find when I opened the box.  I wonder what “new” Christmas stuff I will find in a couple of months.

Do Pumpkins Grow on Trees?

Day 19

Pumpkins, acorns and sunflowers—what an unusual tree!  The blackbird likes it.  Puts him in that Autumn mood.

I promise I will paint something without a pumpkin  before this challenge is over.  For now, I’m still loving those pumpkins!Image

Mr. Scarecrow

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors.  I love pumpkins.  I love anything with an autumn flavor.  And even though it’s still officially summer, it’s September and that signals Fall to me.

Today is the beginning of the  Leslie Saeta’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge.  I started my blog after her similar challenge in January.  Even though I’ve been painting just a year, I feel like I’ve come a long way from my first attempts just a few months ago.

Since I do love Autumn, expect to see a lot of Fall subjects in the next 30 days.  My mind is bursting with ideas.  I just hope I can keep having them for the next month.

Today’s pic is Mr. Scarecrow.  I’ve just always liked scarecrows, crows and pumpkins, so this pic was a natural.Image
