Family Portrait

Cats are part of the family.  Have you had their portraits done for posterity?  This cat brought along his nemesis who always seems to be following him around!

Day 20 Jungle Cat

Is this a cat?  Is it a tiger?  You decide.   And do heart trees grow in the jungle?  They do in my world!  This one is pure fantasy fun.

Whimsical Animals in Winter

I had fun creating these two little paintings.  Though I’m noticing now that my reindeer and the lamb might be in the same family.  The facial resemblance is quite striking!  Oh well, it’s supposed to be naive, folk art.  These are not photographs!

I’ve also added both of these, with a few others to my Etsy shop today.  Remember I’m offering 20% off through Monday.  This is a one time opportunity and won’t be repeated.  All of my paintings are one of a kind, so shop soon so you don’t miss out.

Have a great weekend!

I opened my Etsy shop!

You haven’t heard from me for awhile because I was busy setting up my Etsy shop.  I recently came across the phrase  “done is better than perfect”.  Well that’s how I feel.  The shop doesn’t have everything I want (like international shipping that I have yet to investigate) but at least it is DONE!  Not everything is in the shop yet.  I will continue to add items every day–so keep checking.  The name of my shop is Blue Pumpkin Studio  (don’t ask–I just like the name).  I would appreciate it if you would at least check it out and “like” my shop.  Here is a new painting I haven’t shown before.  It’s called “Home with Kitty” and is available in my shop.

Yellow Tabby

This tabby cat is enjoying the outdoors with his buddy.  Who says birds and cats have to have an adversarial relationship?  I’m painting and posting from sunny Las Vegas where I have come to have a nice visit with my Mom.  Image

We are going to see Donny and Marie (Osmond) at the Flamingo hotel tonight.  I first saw their show almost 40 years ago as a teenager here in Vegas (where I grew up)  It was a great show then and I’m sure it will be equally entertaining tonight.  I’ll let you know all about it.
