I get a lot of inspiration from quilting–even quilting fabric. This picture was inspired by a piece of printed fabric I bought over 10 years ago. I still intend to use it in a quilt–someday. I think there are a lot of great artists out there designing fabric. In my dreams, I would be one of them!
What is a Yupo Pumpkin? It’s a watercolor pumpkin on Yupo paper! I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new today. Sandy Sandy another (fabulous!) artist in this challenge send me some samples of this paper that really lets the watercolor stay on the surface and facilitates blending colors. Sandy makes such wonderful paintings with this paper. Maybe I wasn’t that adventurous for my 1st attempt, but I’m still pleased with the results.
This one was inspired by the photo on this month’s Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I used Arches watercolor paper, so it looks a little different than all the others I have been painting on Aquabord. I love the colors of Fall and especially sunflowers and pumpkins!
