Day 18 Song Bird

I’m the early bird (ha ha) as I am posting a few hours early for tomorrow. This little painting was inspired by a song I learned as a child: “In the leafy treetops the birds sing good morning. They’re first to see the sun, They must tell everyone.”

It would be great if we could all get in the habit of greeting each new day with a song!

I like this one a lot. I especially like the “quilted feathers” in the background. I’m enjoying the month-long challenge.

  Thanks Sharon. I do a lot of feathers on my quilts so it seemed natural to some to my paintings.

  Such a small world. My brothers both went to Kubasaki, Robert and Jim Griffiths. Though they were class of 73 and 74–so a bit younger. Those two years on Okinawa were the best time for our family.
