The title of this little painting is taken from an old hymn by the same name. I have sung it often in church since I was a child. I hear the melody in my head as I read the words:
In a world where sorrow
Ever will be known,
Where are found the needy
And the sad and lone,
How much joy and comfort
You can all bestow,
If you scatter sunshine
Ev’rywhere you go.
[Chorus]
Scatter sunshine all along your way.
Cheer and bless and brighten
Ev’ry passing day.
There are more verses, but this will do. We all have the power to lift others up or drag them down. I find it is so easy to be negative and it becomes a habit. Being positive, at least for me, has to be a conscience choice. I for one would like to “scatter sunshine all along [my] way”
How about you?
Another super design. I would love to think that I scatter sunshine on my travels.

Thanks, Marilyn. I’m trying! If I’m not the greatest artist in the world, I hope I can at least make people smile.

Thanks, Susan. With your advice, I painted the background blue with some acrylic paint I had. It does give an even coverage, but I’m still undecided if I like it. What do you think? Did you experiment with that other paint yet?
