A Pot of Posies

Many of you who have been visiting my blog lately have commented that you wished to see some of my quilts.  So I will add some pics of my quilts to each of my posts for the rest of the challenge.  I bought this quilt top off of Ebay for $30.   It wasn’t in very good shape and most of the fabric was faded.  I did some extensive custom quilting on it. Afterwards, the finished quilt appraised for $3000.

This is a close up of one of the white blocks. I quilted it like a sampler with some variation in every block.

One of the pieced blocks. Whoever pieced this, did it all by hand. Each small square is less than an inch square.

The appraiser said that the top was most likely made in the 1920’s.  This is one of the pieced blocks. Whomever pieced this, did it all by hand. Each small square is less than an inch square.

In keeping with an old tradition, I quilted my initials into one of the blocks.
